Challenge

1985 CNC milling machine with only RS-232 serial interface needed real-time data integration with EtherCAT network.

Solution

Custom PCB with STM32 microcontroller, RS-232 to EtherCAT protocol translation, and 8x digital I/O for additional sensors.
